It was lightening and thundering earlier, but it passed north of here, so no rain. Too bad, I wanted to go to sleep listening to thunder. I like that the summer rains seem to be coming back to normal, sort of. Even though the flooding last week was horrible north of here, I rather enjoyed all the greenness that has occurred.

I'm really sick of ants, though.

The youth orchestra I was invovled with in middle/high school had it's 25th anniversary concert today and inivted alumni to come play two piecees with them. The music was written by two alumni and it was very modern stuff...hard. Interesting, but not what I would have picked to do. Some of my classmaes where there and it was weird seeing how little we've changed. I got brushed off by an old "friend", and granted I haven't been exactly nice to her in the past...she's never really been all that nice to begin with. Chatting it up with the others from my class, though, was really great. I t was awesome to see those people again.

That took up a good chunk of my day, the other bit was watching a documentary about Bruce Lee on TV. Learned some cool things and tidbits:

Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way round or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves.

My life is spiralling downward. I couldn't get enough money to go to the Blood Red Romance and Suffocate Me Dry concert. It's sucks 'cause they play some of my favorite songs like "Stab My Heart Because I Love You"  and "Rip Apart My Soul" and of course, "Stabby Rip Stab Stab".

Ok, honestly, it's been another weird week. hence the fake emo...ness.

I feel so dirty.



Prepare for a mind-dump:
I had a concert Monday night, which went fine. An award cermony presentation was dumped in my lap the day of, which went OK, but I suck at public speaking and my hands were having seizures. One of my co-workers was out of town Monday to Wednesday and it was a nice chance to get a taste of being in control of a classroom. And because said co-worker was out of town, I got to teach high school chorus on Tuesday because the Money class was so bad. I am reminded why I like orchestra; there is very little drama. One of my APs told me that they are going to buy a 0.2 unit from the district so I can teach one class next year but I haven't heard anything about it. I went back and told them that it needed to be a 0.5 unit and I need to teach two classes, they seemed supportive. Our head-boss lady is leaving because it is likely that district level positions will be cut next year. I wonder what it means for everything down the road. My bleak outlook on enrollment for one of the high school classes may not come to light, but enrollment at the elementary level is a constant, weary battle. I have three after-school concerts next week and one in school one. I haven't really spoken to any friends or family all week and I feel cranky and isolated, but that's mostly my schedule's fault. I wanted to take tomorrow and draw all day but I got roped into chaperoning a trip at the last minute (seeing a pattern here?) and I don't think I can draw porn at Busch Gardens. World of Warcraft continues to crash the wireless modem. Roomate let me install it on the wired computer downstairs, but it's hard to read the screen on the TV (even if it IS an HD one) and I lack serious motivation to do anything. Blerg.

So, there you have it, my week in all it's A.D.D. glory. Apologizes. I can't organize my thoughts very well and I haven't been keeping up with you all like I should. On Sunday I can catch a breather and catch up.

I've got to stop listening to my Micheal Buble station on Pandora radio, but damn if I ever love music like that. It's fun and quirky, which the music on the radio now a days is sadly lacking in.

I've gotten twenty-two hours of sleep between now and my post friday night and I feel loads better. Still miffed about a couple of things, but not all weepy and all that. Sleep solves everything. We need mandatory nap time during the day.

But I am hella tired.

AND.

I get to play some more of the damn musical tomorrow night for some kind of emeting at the school. JOY. At least I'll get home before 11. Ugh. 

I have a lot of late nights this week as the school is putting on the musical Sugar! The Some Like It Hot Musical. If I survive this whole affair I shall post again on Sunday.

I ordered a new power source and video card from Newegg.com the other day, on recommendation from my roommate Sam. Hilarity of the geek sort ensued.

Secondly, even if you don't play World of Warcraft, this is pretty damn funny.

I got distracted by RPing with the sister...no pictures until tomorrow. PEACE.

So, I got inspired from the email I received the other day. About taking up things I liked doing but ditched for a long time. Taking pictures being the top one. I dusted off the camera and took photos of the dolls and the dog. I'm going to post the dolls one tomorrow night because they came out grainy and I've neglected to install any kind of photo editing software on my desktop. Arg!

He a Golden Retriever (the head and coat), Chow-Chow (spotted tongue and the tail), Corgi (SHORT legs) mix and he's utterly adorable as you are just about to see.

Well, you WOULD see  nice, embedded pictures but this is the THIRD time something made me close out my web browser so you get a link to the album on photobucket instead...Link be here, mateys!

By the way, the doll in one of the pictures is roughly two feet tall...so Mace is quite the little shorty-pants! He's like a full sized golden retriever with corgi legs. Ha!

I got this email from someone I hadn't spoken to in basically a year. It brought up a lot of things...I feel like maybe I didn't quite get over everything as well as I should, and unfortunately that person is in the same place I was in. That sucks, but at least smeone from that group finally understands. And that is a sad thing, too, but I know things will work out for them as well.

Spring break is half over and I have such a case of the blahs! I don't want to go back yet either, though. So unmotivated to do much of anything right now except play World of Warcraft and pet my doggie. Oh! I did finally fix the problem with my printer/scanner...so that's something, right? Right??

Right.

Nope, not much at all, actually. Just the regular things, the daily grind at work, the ever uncertainty of the economy, teh life dramas. You know, all that stuff that tends to go on in life. But I made it to spring break! WITHOUT KILLING ANY CO-WORKERS OR STUDENTS!!!

And I got an iPhone. Yeah. I'm one of those people now.

I wonder if it has a LiveJournal app. XD
